SPEAK WITH OUR STUDENTS
Do you have a story that would inspire our students? Are you eager to share your journey to success? Have you acquired professional skills that can help them launch? We often need a bevy of volunteers to expand our professional network and reach our students. Place yourself at the table while students gain high-quality skills and insight during these impactful student workshops and meetings! We host several events throughout the year that expose our students to various sectors of industry, give them opportunities to practiced nuanced skills, and provide moments to connect with our equity-focused community. This is a great way to become more familiar with our exceptional pool of qualified and driven students.

Practice makes progress. Progress yields perfection. Speed Interviews are lightening rounds of professional networking between our student fellowship and community volunteers. Students are fitted and wear a professional business suit, practice their handshake, and many provide copies of their resumé or calling card. Volunteers ask various interview-style questions and provide each student feedback through an evaluation sheet.

Our students are often under-exposed to the broad options of careers available to them. Career Panels are a series of forum-style discussions allowing students the opportunity to gain valuable insight, hear advice from, and ask questions to talented professionals in a variety of industries. Volunteers are grouped by industry and pay it forward by speaking on the triumphs and struggles of their own college and career journey.
